Results of All-Mongolian Open Championship in Sport and Combat Sambo 2015

In three days, the first tournament of this sambo season in the FIAS sports calendar shall start — the Sambo World Cup Stage for the Prizes of N. Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In some countries the sambo season has already started. One of them is Mongolia, where the AllMongolian Open Championship in Sport and Combat Sambo was held on January 14 and 15. The main Mongolian start which is to determine the composition of the country's national team for participation in international tournaments under the auspices of FIAS was organized in Ulan-Bator, the Mongolian capital. The tournament was held in Buyant-Ukhaa sports complex. The stadium built in 2009 accommodates 5 thousand spectators. Among the most notable events held there were the Asia's Youth Championship for Basketball in 2012 and World Wrestling Championship a year later. This year, sambo took over the place for 2 days.

It was the 44th All-Mongolian Open Championship in Sport and Combat Sambo held in this country having strong sambo traditions. The competition was participated by more than 400 samboists from 27 sports clubs and organizations, as well as sambo teams from Buryatia (Russia) and Inner Mongolia (China).
