The Israeli Sambo Championship was held in Rishon LeZion

The Israeli Sambo Championship was held on September 22 in the city of Rishon LeZion. The competition was attended by 180 athletes aged 13 years and older, who represented 11 clubs from different parts of Israel: from the southernmost point in Eilat to the city of Nahariya in the north of the country.

The athletes not only desperately fought for victory in the individual competition in their weight categories, but also tried to glorify with their results the sports clubs where they train.

“The championship was the final stage and excellent preparation for the World Youth and Junior Championships, which will be held soon in Bishkek. The national team has been formed, and we will try to return from Kyrgyzstan with medals, improving the results of last year,” said the head coach of the Israeli team, Pavel Musin.
